We began business in 1975 as Distinctive Impressions, a part time record company providing custom recordings for schools and churches. But Video has always been Dwight’s first love. He taught Television Engineering in Pasadena City Schools from 1970-1978. The next six years he worked for Video Systems Network first as service manager and later as Production and Systems Engineer.
In 1984 Distinctive Impressions changed its emphasis to video design and installation and became fulltime for both Dwight and Janet.
In 1998 the company was incorporated and the name was changed to Distinctive Video Engineering.
For 4 years from April of 2000 to October of 2003, we worked fulltime for our major client, Digital System Technology; Dwight as Vice President of Engineering and Janet as Senior Project Manager. When they moved to Atlanta, we were more than happy to pick up where we left off.
We believe in starting each design with a clear screen. Since every system is unique and technology is constantly changing, we won’t give you someone else’s design.
